Speedbackup
Home and Speedbackup SE
SpeedBackup
comes in different versions designed for different needs & different
environments. SpeedBackup 1.5 can backup a maximum of ten folders
and has a special functionality for e-mail backup. Under Windows 98,
you can configure SpeedBackup to automatically backup all your
Outlook Express e-mails at the click of a button. This is the ideal
software for the home user wanting a simple and reliable backup solution
to back up data from a computer to an external hard drive, thumb drive
or Zip disc or across a local network.
SpeedBackup
Second Edition
has a multiple backup facility so that you can backup different data
on Daily, Weekly or Monthly schedules. There is no limit to the
number of folders that can be backed up in any one schedule. This version
of the software is ideal for small business users who wish to make incremental
data backups to external storage devices or who have a backup server
to collect data from up to three workstation computers.

How
to Use Speed Backup Second Edition
You

and Monthly backups. Each option will record your selection and, with
the assistance of MS Task Scheduler, will run its own SpeedBackup Auto
at your pre-determined times. To set up each backup routine:

Click on the 'Choose Folders' button and locate the folders that
you want to save. Highlight each folder in turn and click 'OK'. Repeat
for other folders you want to add to the Backup List.
2) Click on the 'Save Backups to...' button and then navigate
to the location of the folder where you want the data backed up to.
3) Click on the 'Backup Data Now' button to back up the specified data
to the specified location. Running 'Backup Data Now' will also
save your settings to the Windows Registry to be used by SpeedBackup
Auto.
4) Launch Microsoft Task Scheduler and configure it to run each of the
SpeedBackup Auto files for the Daily, Weekly and Monthly routines on
the dates of your choosing.
If
you wish to change any of the settings in SpeedBackup, just click on
the 'Clear Backup and Save Locations' to enable you to start
afresh.
And
if you wish to confirm that your backups have been successful, select
File > View Log File for each of the backup routines. The
